Suzuki Kizashi - Suzuki's first AWD sports sedan

Suzuki Kizashi is suzuki’s first entry into all wheel drive sport-sedan segment in the US market. Suzuki is the popular seller of micro cars in Japan. Inspite of its strong presence in Europe and ?the growing Indian market, suzuki’s position in the US market have not been competitive. It has built a strong reputation with motorcycles, boat engines, all-terrain vehicles ?but struggles to make an impact with cars and trucks. Now Suzuki is revisiting the midsize sedan segment. This was inspired by the reasonable taste of success with SX4 which earned it the consumer guide’s best buy award for 2008. After flopping with Verona, Esteem and Aero, Suzuki hopes to make a mark in the US market, with the launch of Suzuki kizashi in 2010. However it’s going to be a difficult task as this segment has well established cars like Camry, Accord, Fusion. The Kizashi has been entirely designed by Suzuki. A massive, rigid steel body with Multilink rear suspension and reinforced front suspension which along with embedded aluminum allows for perfect handling with excellent stability, reduced vibration and smooth ride. Suzuki Kizashi will be around 8-10 inches shorter than Accord and Camry of the same segment, along with a similarly long wheelbase and stretch 2-3 inches wider. Kizashi’s advanced braking system offers standard four-wheel disc brakes. It also has premium leather with ?three-level, heated seat. For those wanting advanced technical features, Suzuki provides options beginning with standard key less push start system, Ipod connectivity and optional-streaming audio via Bluetooth. Built at Suzuki’s manufacturing facility in Sagara, Japan, the 2010 Kizashi comes with a standard, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a 5- speed automatic transmission that offers a more powerful standard engine than many competitors. Customers have the option for an available Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) delivering both the driving experience and fuel efficiency that matches the customer demands. Also Kizashi returns sufficient fuel economy numbers for fuel-conscious consumers. To prosper in a segment already saturated with countless well established vehicles, Suzuki breaks away from traditional values followed, with Suzuki’s firm belief in providing a dynamic and cheerful driving experience. With its launch, Suzuki delivers a ?blend of dynamic performance attributes with the design aesthetics and expertise that has not been experimented in this ?segment.Being launched in North American showrooms this winter the Kizashi will carry the hopes of the company to repeat the success of SX4. Suzuki will also look to further strengthening and expanding its line of products. Suzuki sees the U.S. as its next, ambitious target and will be hoping to make more money here. All this built on the success of the SX4 in the U.S. and thus it wants to become more of an “aspirational brand”. Kizashi’s thoughtfully crafted exterior design is best described as the smooth mixture of European style and Japanese art. Suzuki Kizashi fits perfectly into the frame of a modern family car. With features such as an independent suspension, antilock brakes, power windows/locks/mirrors and curtain side airbags. Summing up, the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi could be an excellent ?choice among midsize family sedans with its elegance and available unique styling, but Camry, Accord, and Malibu probably have nothing much to fear.
